OpenAI announced today that CEO Sam Altman has been fired, and will resign from his post, effective immediately. According to an announcement by OpenAI , Chief Technology Officer Mira Murati has been appointed interim CEO to lead OpenAI , while the search begins for a permanent successor to Altman.
